Quite often our Australian labradoodles are sold before they are born as we operate a waiting list. If you would like information on our waiting list or to be sent a reservation form to join our list please email us. We ask for a £400 non – refundable deposit to secure your place on the list. The deposit can be paid by cheque or bank transfer.
When the puppies are born and we know what we have available we will contact you and ask for you sex preference. We view the puppies and their mum at 6/7 weeks. Families will come in order of deposit. Tora labradoodle puppies will be microchipped, given 1st vaccination, wormed, sold on a spay/neuter contract before going to new homes between 8-9 weeks. We accept Cash, balance transfer or cheques for payment.
The balance should be paid 3 days before collection day by transfer, if paying the balance on pick up day we only except cash.
Puppies are selected on a first come first served basis, in order of deposits. When the puppies are born, if you feel we don’t have a suitable puppy in the litter, deposits can be rolled on to a future litter. This is only when the puppies are born, if you decide after this time that the litter is not suitable your deposit will be lost.
Viewing and choosing puppies will be at 6-7 weeks on a week day. We normally only hold 1 viewing day per litter, if you are unable to attend we can send photos and videos of your puppy.
Please do not ask for another visitation day if you cannot make this scheduled date. Because puppies have fragile immune systems, we have to put each litter into isolation after their family visits to ensure they do not spread any germs they were potentially exposed to. It is too disruptive to puppy development if a litter must repeatedly be in isolation. We do not view puppies before 5 weeks of age. Viewings are 30 minutes for each family as mums and pups get tired out very easily.
We ask that you do not visit any other breeders at least 48 hours before.
Tora Labradoodles reserve the right to keep as many puppies as we wish from any particular litter. Order of Reservations on our waiting list is only a guide which can be subject to change at Tora Labradoodles discretion. Please note that we cannot guarantee a litter will be born on any particular date. Dates are only a guide and subject to change, particularly if the females have not yet been mated. Please make sure that you have taken this into account before placing your non-refundable deposit. If females have been bred we have a better idea of timings.
We recommend that our Australian labradoodles are groomed every 6-8 weeks. How often you have your dog groomed will also depend on how much work you are willing to put into maintaining the coat. We recommend regular combing and brushing at home to keep your doodle comfortable and matt free.

Most Australian labradoodles are 98% non shedding. They will normally only shed hair as humans do.
However, some breeds of Labradoodles shed and some don’t. British/Origin labradoodles tend to shed hair. Australian labradoodles are less likely to shed and seem to do better with people who have allergies. While most people with dog allergies seem to do well with them, there are always exceptions.
Our puppies are fully wormed using Panacur paste at 3, 5 & 8 weeks. We recommend Worming again at 12 weeks old and then placing your puppy on a consistent worming programme every 3 – 4 months or as recommended by your vet. Pups will be given first vaccinations by our vet. Currently our vet vaccinates with Lepto 4 and Nobivac DHP.
Both male and female Labradoodles make excellent pets. With the Labradoodle’s excellent temperament it is purely personal preference. We require you to have your puppy spayed/ neutered and as such this will stop your bitch from having seasons (bleeding twice yearly) and your dog from marking his territory.

When we plan our litters they often fill up quickly after being advertised so getting onto our master waiting list in advance allows you to have a secure spot when the time comes. Spaces are always offered to families in the order that they placed their deposit to keep things as fair as possible.

In line with current BVA guidance and ethical breeding practices all of our pet puppies are sold Spay/neuter contracts. Families will be required to sign this contract before collection of their puppy, normally on collection day. By signing our contract families agree to spay/neuter their puppy before 12 months of age (unless a contract extension is agreed) and agree to never breed their puppy under any circumstances.
Our puppies are sold as pets/companions only with no breeding rights.
There are incredible benefits to spay/neutering your puppy:
For Females:
There is no risk of Pyometra, which can be life threatening.
There is reduced risk of mammary cancer – the American college of veterinary surgeons found the risk of mammary cancer increases by 8% if females are spayed after their first season but further increases to 26% for female dogs spayed after their second season.
The risk for female dogs spayed before 6 months is 0.5%.
There are no false pregnancies. False pregnancies can be distressful for females and can result in loss of appetite, behaviour changes and she may even produce milk.
For Males:
Reduced risk of prostate and testicular cancer/tumours.
Reduced or no marking of territory/cocking leg.
No sexual behaviour towards other females, people or objects.
Dr. Allen, DVM also found that desexed males have considerably less aggressive / dominance issues. It has been found in other studies that desexed males do not even figure in the statistics on dog attacks on people. Most attacks on children are done by male dominant dogs that have not been desexed.
There is no evidence to suggest spaying or neutering changes our dogs core personality.
As breeders our spay/neutering policy also gives us peace of mind that none of our puppies will go on to be used in puppy farms or be responsible for contributing to the increase in animals shelters.
Our contracts are always rigorously followed up so if you do not intend on spay/neutering your puppy in line with our agreement we are not the breeders for you.
